Liz Bacon (she/her)
is a performer, director, facilitator & writer, working in the UK, Germany & internationally. She works mainly in new writing & devised performance, with a training in physical, ensemble & movement-based practices and an MFA in Advanced Devising Practice from Arthaus Berlin. Liz has over ten years experience working in professional & community settings & set up Anything Other Theatre Company in the UK in order to explore the performance and creation spaces which bridge the two. Recent work as performer includes Things That Might Become (R&D, Berlin), La Caravana (Berlin), BalkonKunst (Berlin) and as director, Foxfinder (LAMDA), This Wounded Island (Theatre503 & Kent tour), A Wake in Progress (VAULT & Edinburgh Festivals), Coelacanth (The Cockpit Theatre), 1972 The Future of Sex (Arts Ed), The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning (Arts Ed), All of Me (New Diorama, VAULT & Edinburgh Festivals) & Talking Objects (The British Museum). Liz has worked as an Associate Artist for Almeida Theatre Projects, CLOD Ensemble, Barbican/Guildhall Creative Learning & in criminal justice settings with Synergy Theatre Project & Only Connect. Liz has also worked as a producer, delivering large scale festivals and events including Sound Voice (Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh), Spitalfields Music Festival (Rich Mix, V&A Museum of Childhood), Dialogue Festival (Barbican/Guildhall Creative Learning), Snapshot Songs (Barbican/Guildhall) and worked for several years as a Project Lead at Only Connect (delivering theatre tours and arts projects in community centres and prisons around the UK).

LIZ BACON
Lisa Ullrich (she/her)
Lisa is a theater maker and performer currently at home in Berlin, where she is currently performing an improvised musical bonanza with her duo “The Understudies” in the bars, variety shows and cabaret nights of berlin.
She grew up between Germany, the UK and the US eternally confused about national identities and languages and the notion of home.
Lisa completed a three year BA in Acting at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, Spain, and has just graduated from the two year MFA in Devised Theater and Performance program at Arthaus, Berlin (formerly LISPA). During her time at Arthaus, Lisa trained in a Lecoq based program of study, during which she co-created site specific outdoor music-theater production on bikes “La Caravana” (2020) and “Band Practice”, an improvised Musical Comedy (2021).
As an actor, some of her theatrical work has included roles such as: Hecuba in “The Trojan Women,” Cassius in “Julius Caesar,” Olga in “the Three Sisters,” and Abigail in “the Crucible”. She has also worked in Film and TV, most recently playing Abigail in the independent film “A Matter of Causality”(2019), which won the ONIROS film award for Best Acting Ensemble.
She has also worked as a facilitator and performer with young, non native english speakers with the English Theater Frankfurt.
LISA ULLRICH

Shai Cohen (she/her)
Shai is an Israeli multidisciplinary artist.
She comes from a world of physical theatre, clowning, puppetry and object theatre and has interest in the worlds of illustration and animation. One clear thing that propels Shai in her work is imagery and aesthetic.
So far, Shai has found herself mainly working with ‘poor’ materials, such as cardboard, masking tape and ready made objects.
Shai trained in physical theatre & clowning at “Beit Hagefen”, Haifa and “Hayadit” theatre, Pardes Hana and completed the MA program at Arthaus Berlin.
Past & current works includes “The Neo Anderthals” (Israel, 2017), “Balkon Kunst” (Berlin, 2021), “La Caravana” (Berlin, 2021), “Grounded” (Berlin, 2021), “Things That Might Become” (Berlin, 2021).
SHAI COHEN
Ash Willison (she/her)
Ash is a Berlin based collaborative multi-media artist. From a dusty theatre classroom in her childhood city Kampala, Ash’s international upbringing has led her to cultivate many artistic mediums. After completing her MFA at Arthaus Berlin, she now performs in the local bar scene curating and participating in variety shows as half of the musical improv duo The Understudies. Other current projects include heading the co-founded collective Damen Kreativ and collaboration with the mysterious visual artist @bikingwithbangs. Through all ventures her practice remains rooted in the transcendent language of the body, and the belief in art as a means and not an ends. Past works include Band Practice (The Understudies 2021), Futuristic Opera 2014 (Mystets’ke kolo 2021), Things That Might Become (Anything Other 2021), G’bye Girls (Rem Nant Theatre Berlin 2021) Grounded (2021), Like Trees Virtual Exhibit (2020), La Caravana (2021), and The Immigrant Journey Project (Theatre MU 2019).

Dogchild is a group of four female creators from different corners of the world.
We tell stories with imagery, movement, music, and installation work. .
We seek to make work that is radically playful, joyous and honest and inviting.
We believe in the generosity of making a fool of oneself.
NOW
DOGCHILD looks for opportunities to meet and continue our exploration together.
We spent November & December 2021 building a creative lab in Berlin to test several different project ideas in their early stages.
We are also using this time to continue to build on and further develop a shared ensemble language, centred around physical and embodied research, painting, free-writing exercises, improvisation and object-work in storytelling.

An emerging current Project “ Sh!tbags” has been a constant playful oscillation from our personal and collective experiences.
Ensemble member Liz’s own story of the arrival of a letter from her father, 15 years after he had written it and 4 years after he had died, prompted us to explore the surprise, joy, and mystery that surrounds the quest of mail and parcels.
Our collective feeling of Eco- Anxiety throughout our witnessing of the international Cop26 climate change conference led us into the epic world of Greek myth, with which we have begun to translate our complicated relationship with consumerism into a dark, comedic and relatable language.
We have ventured through Berlin's underworld and gathered stories from the characters that dwell there.
